About Us
Stan McKenzie, President of A Change is Afoot lectures on Alzheimer disease to professional groups and service organizations. He is an active Rotarian, former volunteer chair for the Alzheimer Association Memory Walk, and now volunteers his time in Disaster Relief through the Red Cross.

Stan McKenzie graduated
from the Stanford University
sponsored Orthopedic
Physician Assistant program.
For a decade and a half,
he owned a company
specializing in total hips,
knees, and other implants.
He also had a Physical
Therapy equipment/rehab division that focused on advanced healing and therapy techniques. He annually taught thermal modality and "The Body Electric" courses to Therapists and Physician Residents at University of Washington.

After selling his company, he changed direction and went into the Alzheimers and senior housing industry. He has had the honor of working and training with some of the biggest and best companies in the industry.
